HEIC/HEIF: Browsers that cannot decode these photos need a one-time external decoder download. Photos still convert locally; no photo is sent to that decoder provider. An internet connection is needed the first time. V2 uses a newer libheif-based decoder. Some HEIC variants may still be unsupported; verify every output.
